Director of Warehouse Operations - Perm

Our direct client is seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations for a direct hire on-site opportunity with their Midway, Georgia location.
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work closely with all supply chain operation, finance, and sales teams under the guidance of the executive leadership.
Identify internal process issues to improve service and cost reduction Optimize warehouse and distribution processes Ensure product supply meets customer demand through the management of inventory processes.
Own order exceptions and ensure timely delivery for urgent customer requests.
In-Charge of building and sustaining a positive culture of safety, engagement, and efficiency Oversees inventory control, order management, packing, QA, picking, and pre-pack operations Collaborates with sales and PO departments to ensure availability of merchandise and establishes desired inventory threshold to meet demand Ensure that all inventory is maintained and accurately reported throughout the network Partner with side leaders to forecast labor needs and schedule shifts coverage to meet demand Apply 5S/Process Excellence/Lean Methodology to increase the effectiveness Develop a cost to serve database for each warehouse and 3PL Provide project management support for onboarding additional TNC warehouses and new 3PL partners Create and maintain SOPs Create RFI, RFP, and RFQs Perform ROI, P&L, & operational analysis Assist with developing new processes while providing insight and feedback to help move the company forward.
Work cross-functionally with other departments to assist with achieving company goals.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, warehousing, fulfillment, economics, business administration, project management, or a similar field.

years of experience or technical background in WMS Knowledge of ERP and TMS is preferred 5
years of experience in an industry-related field Experience in creating data, analyzing metrics, and data-driven decision-making Proven ability to design and execute a supply chain strategy Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills Strong written and oral communication skills Up to 10% travel required Curious mindset with proactive and robust analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent multitasking and time management skills are needed.
Manage carriers and vendors with expected timelines and proposal management.
Work and create strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to discuss and execute ROIs and business proposals A decisive decision-maker with demonstrated success in making timely and informed decisions that keep the organization moving forward What Success Looks Like:
